52nd Anniversary Motion Picture Sound Editors

There will be a screening of the Student Nominees' Films on FRIDAY 2/25 at 7:30 PM at the University of Southern California School fo Cinema- Television George Lucas Instructional Building, Room 108 on the University Park campus. Student filmmakers from Poland, Australia, and the United Kingdom will be present!

The Motion Picture Sound Editors will be screening the five nominated movies for Best Sound Editing in a Student Film Friday, February 25, at 7:30 p.m. The event will take place in Screening Room 108 of the George Lucas Instructional Building on the campus of the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television. The nominated student sound editors will be attending and available for questions afterwards.

This year's nominees all come from film schools outside of the United States, representing the Australian Film Television and Radio School, the National Film and Television School of the United Kingdom, and the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music of Poland.

The winner of the Verna Fields Award will be announced the following night at the MPSE Golden Reel Awards banquet in Beverly Hills. In addition to a statuette, the winning student sound editor will receive the $1,000.00 Ethel Crutcher Scholarship financed by Associated Production Music.
